ChannelFlux®
U.S. Patent #7.858.204
Bellman-Melcor (a Prince & Izant company) offers a novel design of flux-coated brazing alloy. The alloy is neither completely covered with flux, nor is it flux cored.
The braze alloy is geometrically designed to give an exposed channel which is filled with flux. The flux is soft and flexible, so ChannelFlux® products can be put into almost any convenient shape.
This results in the following advantages compared to conventional products:
- Integrated Flux System – Alloy and non-corrosive flux in a flexible and durable matrix.
- Improved Performance – Flux activates in advance of ally. No overflow of material.
- Superior Design – Flux in direct contact with base metals. No hidden flux voids.
- Less Contamination – No powder to contaminate equipment or the working air environment.
- Patented Technology – Offers unlimited options in alloys and flux systems.
