Active Brazing Alloys
Brazing of metal, oxide ceramics and diamond
Due to their compositions, active brazing alloys show good wetting properties on non-metal materials. Active components such as Titanium, Zirconium or Hafnium are added, thus achieving good wettability results.
To avoid reaction between active components and gas molecules these alloys are intended to be brazed under high-vacuum conditions.
Joining of alumina ceramics without previous metallization of Molybdenum/Manganese is feasible using active brazing alloys. Even brazing of diamond is enabled by employing these alloys.
